Visit to St. Andrews

In August 2013 we attended a one day Conference being run by the University of St. Andrews entitled History of John Wishart.

George Wishart was martyred for his beliefs in 1546 and this year marks the 500th anniversary of his birth. At the time Mary was only three years of age but Wishart's martyrdom was in many ways the catalyst for the Reformation which was to follow in Scotland and no study of Mary's life can be complete without an understanding of these background political events.
